Vettex Doubleguard Football Illustrations

Markwort Sporting Goods is a sports equipment business based out of St. Louis. One of their notable products is the Vettex Doubleguard, a popular mouth guard used by NFL players and junior varsity athletes alike.

They approached our team to create a set of illustrations highlighting their mouth guards for use in merchandising and marketing materials.

The client requested dynamic, masculine illustrations that captured power and movement. Initial concepts were heavily influenced by art deco styles, with dramatic shadow and stylized lines.

After rounds of edits to figure out the most functional and versatile form, we landed on four illustrations, each with unique color schemes and the Vettex Doubleguard logo incorporated into the composition. The backgrounds of each illustration could be removed to allow for flexible application of the football figures.
